The 23-year-old Argentine rapper and singer has signed a new agreement with Warner Music Latina, according to Billboard.
Londra’s deal, signed at the company’s Miami Beach headquarters with Londra’s family, team, and the label’s president, Alejandro Duque, in attendance, will focus on the artist’s upcoming releases and musical expansion.
“I’m happy for this new phase,” Londra, who last released music in 2019, expressed in a press statement. “I waited and went through a lot to be able to do what I love. I’ve gone through the bad times, now it’s time for the good times, that’s why I’ve started to enjoy it.”
In November 2021, Londra settled a two-year legal battle with Cristian Salazar and producer Daniel Oviedo (Ovy on the Drums), with whom he co-founded Big Ligas in 2018. During the course of the term, Big Ligas entered a $3 million licensing deal with Warner Music Latina in January 2019. After filing dueling lawsuits in 2020, Big Ligas and Paulo Londra amicably resolved their differences in a Miami courtroom.
“We are thrilled that Paulo has chosen us for this new phase,” Duque, president of Warner Music Latin America added. “Paulo has been at the forefront since the beginning of his career and has captivated global audiences with his music. We are convinced that Paulo’s best is yet to come and we are proud to be part of this moment and together, take Paulo Londra’s music to the global scene.”
On the Billboard charts, the pioneer of the Argentine urban movement and former Billboard Latin Artist on the Rise has a total of three entries on Hot Latin Songs and two on Latin Airplay, including his banger “Adan y Eva.”
His freshman album Homerun debuted and peaked at No. 12 on Top Latin Albums in 2019 and at No. 10 on Latin Rhythm Albums, earning a combined 185,000 equivalent albums units and 332 million on-demand song streams in the U.S., according to MRC Data.
Londra has collaborated with artists like Ed Sheeran, Becky G, De La Ghetto, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and many more.
Jessie Reyezis making the list… And, it’s a prestigious one at that!
The 40-album list for the 2020 Polaris Music Prize— an annual award that celebrates the best Canadian albums released over the past year – has been released, with 29-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter earning a place.
Reyez was recognized for her acclaimed debut Before Love Came To Kill Us, which was released in March. It debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200.
Reyez’s album includes collaborations with Eminem and 6LACK, with the deluxe edition including additional features from Rico Nasty, Melii, JID, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie.
But Reyez isn’t the only Latina honoree…
Lido Pimienta has made the list for her album Miss Colombia, which was released earlier this year.
The 34-year-old Colombian singer rose to prominence after her 2016 album, La Papessa, won the Polaris Music Prize in 2017.
To qualify for this year’s honor, albums must have been released between June 1, 2019, and May 31, 2020. A total of 223 albums were considered for the 2020 long list, as determined by a 201-member jury comprised of music journalists, broadcasters and bloggers.
The long list will eventually be culled down to a short list of 10 albums, set to be announced July 15 during a CBC Music radio special. Eleven members of the jury will then be selected to serve on a grand jury that will choose this year’s winner.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the 2020 Polaris winner — normally revealed during a splashy awards ceremony — will be announced live on the CBC Gem streaming service and via the CBC Music website during a “special cinematic event” this fall. Like every year, the winner will receive $50,000 CAD, while shortlisted artists will receive $3,000 CAD each courtesy of Slaight Music.
The Polaris Music Prize is considered one of Canada’s most prestigious music awards; in addition to the cash prize, winners receive a level of attention and renown that is highly coveted in the Canadian music industry.

The 21-year-old Argentinian rapper has released his latest single “Party,” a collaboration with rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie.
The nearly-four minute track, produced by Ovy on the Drums, combines Londra’s raspy voice and A Boogie’s witty rhyming over a mambo-infused trap melody with flairs of Spanish guitar rhythms.
“Party” is a Spanglish joint where both the Argentine artist and New York-based rapper sing about their crazy party ways, sending a message to the haters who are trying to kill their vibe.
“Don’t let this stop / Because I’m out partying with my people / No one can stop us now / Just jump now, don’t stop and olé!” belts Londra on the catchy chorus.
Giving honor to the track, the music video shows both artists drinking, gambling, and having a great time with friends at a house party.
“To have A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie on board makes me very happy. He gives the track an incredible touch and flow,” said Londra in an official statement.
“I was mad excited when I got the call from Paulo Londra. I’ve been a big fan for a minute and I’m glad to be a part of this song,” A Boogie added of their first-ever collaboration.
Earlier this year, Londra joined forces with Ed Sheeran on “Nothing on You,” part of Sheeran’s collaborative No. 6 album. On September 24, Londra was nominated for best new artist at the 2019 Latin Grammy Awards.
