Jussie Smollett is returning to his burgeoning empire in September…
Fox’s popular hip-hop drama Empire, starring the 31-year-old Brazilian actor/singer, is set to return on September 23 at 9:00 pm, according to network officials.
Smollet’s co-star Taraji P. Henson initially tweeted the news and then the official Empire writers’ Twitter handle confirmed the news.
In the second season, Empire will bring out the big guns, with high profile artists and entertainers on board, including Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz.
The breakout first season of the series featured guest stars Jennifer Hudson, Courtney Love, Naomi Campbell, Gladys Knight and Snoop Dogg.
