Selena Gomez is ready to K-pop it like it’s hot…
After weeks of rumors and speculation, the 28-year-old Mexican American singer/actress has officially confirmed that she’ll be teaming up with popular South Korean girl group BLACKPINK for a new collaboration.
“So SO excited to announce @BlackPinkOfficial and I have a new song coming out August 28th,” Gomez wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, August 11, alongside a sweet and sparkling art featuring the two acts’ names over what appears to be dripping chocolate.
The announcement comes just a week after YG Entertainment teased a secret collaboration, and the upcoming song will follow BLACKPINK’s record-breaking single, “How You Like That.”
BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated debut studio album will be arriving on October 2 via YG Entertainment/Interscope Records.
The as-of-yet untitled song will be released on Friday, August 28.
