The members of Glee’s New Directions will be facing their biggest threat soon… And, her name is Jessica Sanchez.
The 17-year-old half-Mexican singer and American Idol season 11 runner-up will take center stage when Glee heads to Regionals in the finale for the Fox’s musical dramedy’s fourth season.
During the series’ “All Or Nothing” episode, New Directions heads to Regionals where the squad faces stiff competition in the form of the Hoosierdaddies, led by the small yet mighty Frida Romero (portrayed by Sanchez).
“I’m competition!” Sanchez recently told The Hollywood Reporter of her Glee arc. “There is definitely a little bit of drama there.”
“She’s the big weapon for her squad, and we’re not really prepared for that,” says co-star Chord Overstreet of the obstacles that await the New Directions in the May 9 season finale. “But I think we’ll hold our own, but it’s definitely something where we’re all freaking out and scrambling at the last minute.”
While the hour will reveal just who wins at Regionals, it’s unclear if we’ll see more of Sanchez come Glee‘s recently announced season five.
Glee airs Thursdays at 9:00 pm ET on Fox.
