She’s scored her first No. 1 movie in the United States… And, it looks like Noomi Rapace has a good chance at a second!
The 31-year-old half-Spanish actress—who is currently starring in the box office hit Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows—stars in director Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated film, Prometheus.
And, the just-released official trailer has set tongues wagging about whether or not the movie, Scott’s first foray into sci-fi since 1982’s Blade Runner, is a prequel to the director’s 1979 hit Alien.
The film centers on a team of scientists who travel to a distant planet, searching for clues about the origin of mankind on Earth.
Along with Rapace, the original Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the film stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Wilson, Guy Pearce and Idris Elba.
Prometheus will hit theaters on June 8.
