Daphne Rubin-Vega is getting animated…

Prime Video has released the official trailer for adult animated musical comedy Hazbin Hotel, featuring the 54-year-old Panamanian-American actress, singer-songwriter, dancer and Broadway star as part of the voice cast.

“Your last desperate attempt at salvation starts here. Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel,” states the clip for the adult animated musical comedy, which features the new original song “Ready For This” from platinum-certified artist Sam Haft and Emmy-nominated Andrew Underberg.

Prime Video has set January 19 for the premiere of Vivienne Medrano’s Hazbin Hotel. Episodes will drop exclusively on the streamer in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

In addition to Rubin-Vega, the guest cast also includes Broadway vets Darren Criss, Jeremy Jordan, Patina Miller and Jessica Vosk.

The main cast includes Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Christian Borle and Joel Perez.

Created by Medrano, Hazbin Hotel follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patrons will be “checking out” into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult-film star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the “Radio Demon” reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.

Medrano serves as executive producer and directed all episodes.
