Paula Fernandesis taking the stage to honor Juanes…
The 35-year-old Brazilian Sertanejo singer, songwriter has been added to the roster of artists who’ll be performing at The Latin Recording Academy’s 2019 Person of the Year gala, which will honor the Colombian superstar.
Fernandes, one of Brazil’s biggest stars, became known in the rest of Latin America after her collaboration with Juanes on “Hoy Me Voy,” which was released on his 2012 MTV Unplugged album.
In addition to Fernandes, others set to perform include Cami, Alessia Cara, Fonseca, Juan Luis Guerra, Mon Laferte, Morat, Ozuna, Draco Rosa, Rosalía, Alejandro Sanz, and Sebastián Yatra. They’ll perform Juanes’ best hits at the ceremony.
Jesse & Joy, Fito Páez, Pablo López and guitarist Orianthi are also confirmed, and the gala — taking place on November 13, 2019, at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas — will feature a special presentation from comedian Andrés López.
Juanes is a 23-time Latin Grammy and two-time Grammy winner who’s also being recognized by his creative artistry, unprecedented humanitarian efforts, support of rising artists, and philanthropic contributions to the world.
The event precedes the 20th annual Latin Grammy Awards, airing live on Univisionon November 14 at 8:00 pm ET from the MGM Grand Garden Arenain Las Vegas.
