Paladin Pictures has acquired the rights to The Maid’s Room, a psychological thriller starringthe 39-year-old Colombian actress.
Directed by Michael Walker, the film stars Garcés as a maid caring for a spoiled family who gains some extra leverage when the son of her employers comes home with a bloodied car after a hit and run accident.
Paladin Picture will release the film theatrically and through digital platforms this spring.
The Maid’s Room, filmed in The Hamptons, was screened at the Hamptons International Film Festival.
Garcés most recently appeared as the ill-fated Flora on Lifetime’s Devious Maids. She also portrays Lea Marquez on All My Children.
Garcés is best known for her appearances in Clockstoppersand The Harold and Kumar franchise.
