Veronica Osorio may be heading to the small screen in the near future…

The Venezuelan-American comedian, writer, actress and improviser has signed a talent holding deal with Fox Broadcasting Co. and 20th Century Fox Television.

As part of the deal, the Upright Citizen’s Brigade New York member would be cast in a comedy pilot for the network and studio this development season.

“We met Veronica and were instantly captivated by her story, drive and passion for comedy,” said Fox SVP casting Tess Sanchez. “She’s performed with the very best in sketch and improv, and we’re so excited to catch her on the rise as we begin casting our next slate of comedy projects.”

Born in Florida and raised in Venezuela, Osorio moved back to the U.S. about 5 years ago to perform sketch and improve comedy. She was a finalist in the 2013 NBC/UCB Diversity Showcase.

She is currently filming the Coen Bros. feature, Hail, Caesar!
