He’s already received one Academy Award nomination… But Claudio Miranda is making a serious case for a second.
The Chilean cinematographer –best known for his work on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the first entirely digitally filmed movie nominated for an Oscar for Best Cinematography – has picked up the Best Cinematography award from the New York Film Critics Online for his visually stunning work on Ang Lee’s Life of Pi.
It’s the latest recognition of a job well done for Miranda, who received a Satellite Award nomination for Life of Pi’s cinematography last week from the International Press Academy.
Miranda’s credits include Tron: Legacy, Zodiac and Failure to Launch.
