Bruno Mars has earned a special first…
The 31-year-old part-Puerto Rican singer-songwriter has landed his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart with “That’s What I Like,” which he performed at this year’s Grammy Awards show.
The song rises from 5-1 to give Mars his first chart-topper on the R&B-related chart.
Additionally, Mars has entered the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, on the chart dated March 4.
Following his high octane Grammys performance of “That’s What I Like,” along with his memorable Prince tribute, Mars blasts 37-7 on the Hot 100, earning his 14th top 10.
Mars’ track rises 36-5 on the Digital Song Sales chart (85,000, up 308 percent) and wins the Hot 100’s top Streaming Gainer award, debuting at No. 20 on Streaming Songs (12.4 million, up 59 percent).
“That’s What I Like” also jumps 36-26 on Radio Songs (43 million, up 22 percent).
The track is the follow-up to Mars’ No. 4 Hot 100 hit “24K Magic“; with the songs’ parent album 24K Magic surging 7-2 as the Greatest Gainer on the Billboard 200.
