Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “We Are Freestyle Love Supreme” Documentary Release Postponsed in Solidarity with Nationwide Protestors

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Freestyle Love will have to wait… as a way to show love for the Black community.

The 40-year-old Puerto Rican Broadway star and Hamilton and In The Height screator’s documentary about his other show Freestyle Love Supreme was supposed to begin streaming on Hulu this Friday.

But Miranda has postponed the premiere of We Are Freestyle Love Supreme, about his hip-hop improv group, in solidarity with protesters.

The group announced the postponement Wednesday, citing that our “collective attention” is turned toward more pressing concerns.

“Today our country, our world struggles to reach an end to this systemic racial injustice, intolerance, police brutality and hate,” Freestyle Love Supreme said in a statement on Twitter. “We add our voices to that fight.”

No word on when the documentary will now be released.
