It looks like Roger Gual’s latest project will be seen throughout the world…
Magnolia Pictures and Vendetta Films have each closed deals to distribute the 39-year-old Spanish director’s latest film Tasting Menu.
Gual’s Spanish-language ensemble comedy centers on a couple who book a table at the best restaurant in the world. But by the time the reservation rolls around, they’ve already been separated for a year. As it’s the last night before the culinary gem closes forever, they decide they can’t miss the unique event and meet at the restaurant.
Magnolia Pictures has acquired all distribution rights in the U.S., while Vendetta Films has taken Australia and New Zealand.
Stephen Rea, Fionnula Flanagan, Claudia Bassols, Jan Cornet and Togo Igawa star.
Tasting Menu’s release in Gual’s native Spain is set for June 14.
