The 31-year-old part-Spanish singer performed live at Maida Vale for Annie Mac and BBC1 Radio, delivering the jazz classic “Summertime,” as well as a few tracks off her upcoming album Magdalene.
“Summertime” a George Gershwincomposition written for the opera Porgy & Bess, was made popular by Billie Holiday.
The song was given a characteristically haunting FKA Twigs twist with her smooth, bone-chilling vocals.
She followed up that track with Magdalene singles “Home With You” and “Cellophane.”
FKA Twigs’ highly anticipated sophomore album will be releases this Friday, November 8.
