The 31-year-old Colombian singer and songwriter’s collaboration with Rema, “Bubalu” rises from No. 2 to lead the Jan13-dated Billboard Latin Airplay chart.
The Spanglish “Bubalu,” in which the Nigerian Afrobeats rapper-singer-songwriter also sings in Spanish for the first time, is the fourth single from Feid’s Mor No Le Temas a La Oscuridad, which rose to No. 4 on the Top Latin Albums chart in October.
Rema’s single, his first No. 1 on Billboard Latin Airplay, was his first entry on a Billboard Latin chart when it debuted at No. 39 in October on the multimetric Hot Latin Songs chart, later peaking at No. 28 (January 6-dated list).
The Afrobeats-permeated “Bubalu” leads the overall Latin Airplay tally with a 14% increase in audience impressions, to 10.8 million, earned in the U.S. during the December 29-January 4 tracking week, according to Luminate.
With “Bubalu” Feid ups his career count to five No. 1s on Latin Airplay. Here’s a list of his collection of champs:
