Daddy Yankee has earned a spot in the Billboard history books…
The 38-year-old Puerto Rican reggaeton singer-songwriter, producer and actor earns this week’s highest debut on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Airplay chart as his new single “Sigueme y Te Sigo” debuts at No. 10.
The track’s strong bow gives Daddy Yankee the most top 10s in the chart’s 10-year history. He was previously tied with Wisin & Yandel.
Logging 2.4 million audience impressions, “Sigueme y Te Sigo” also takes the highest entrance on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart — bringing his total tally of charting songs to 37 (also breaking out of a tie with Wisin & Yandel for most charted songs by an urban act on the list).
“Sigueme y Te Sigo” enters the Latin Digital Songs chart at No. 8, with 2,000 downloads — marking his highest arrival on the sales chart since 2013 when he debuted at No. 7 as a featured act on Yandel‘s “Moviendo Caderas.”
