Jonny Cruz has locked up a new role…
The 31-year-old Mexican-American actor, producer and filmmaker has landed a recurring role on Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network’s Matador.
Created by Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the action drama series chronicles the unlikely rise of Antonio “Matador” Bravo (portrayed by Gabriel Luna), a popular soccer star who in reality uses his sports career as a cover for his real job: a skilled covert operative executing missions for a little-known branch of the CIA.
Cruz will portray Ricky Bravo, Tony’s younger brother who’s currently in prison.
Cruz’s previous television credits include appearances on General Hospital, Prison Break, The Closer and Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.
