There’s more reflection time in Christina Aguilera’s future…
The 39-year-old half-Ecuadorian American Grammy-winning singer has released a new version of her 1998 hit “Reflection,” which appeared on the soundtrack for Disney’s animated feature Mulan.
Aguilera breathed new life into the heartwarming tune as part of Disney’s upcoming Mulanlive action remake. It’s accompanied by an equally stunning music video in which Aguilera is seen in a flowing blue gown belting the lyrics into her reflection.
“This song #Reflection always represents exciting and new chapters & energy for me,” Aguilera tweeted upon announcing her 2020 edition of the track. “I hope you enjoy this fresh new take.”
Aguilera previously released a brand new single, “Loyal Brave True,” for the live action version of Mulan.
Mulan‘s release date was postponed from March 27 to July 24, then August 21 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the film will be available on Disney+ beginning September 4.
However, unlike previous Disney+ event releases, including Hamilton and Beyonce‘s Black Is King, subscribers will have to pay an additional $29.99 fee to watch the film.
