Cherie Jimenez’s days will be busier than ever…

The 36-year-old part Puerto Rican, Dominican and Spanish actress is set to start her run on Days of Our Lives as Gabi Hernandez, Rafe’s (Rafe’s (Galen Gering) younger sister, will start her run on June 27.

Jimenez was hired in April to assume the role of Gabi, who is also the younger sister of the late Arianna (Lindsay Hartley) and Dario (Jordi Vilasuso).

The character first appeared in 2009 on the daytime sudser.

Gabriela Rodriguez played Gabi before she was replaced by Camila Banus in 2010. Banus held the role on and off through November of 2023.

Having attended both The Professional Performing Arts School and SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory, Jimenez recently had the lead role in Lifetime’s Angie: Lost Girls and in the sequel, Maya. Previous credits include recurring for two seasons on Banshee, as well as roles on NCIS, The Newsroom, and Pretty Little Liars.

Jimenez recently wrapped production on Man In The Long Black Coat opposite Neal McDonough, Christopher Lloyd and Dermot Mulroney.
