Cardi B to Make Feature Film Debut in STX’s “Hustlers”

It appears Cardi B’s art will soon imitate her life before exploding onto the music scene…

The 26-year-old half-Dominican American rap sensation, a former stripper, has been cast opposite her “Dinero” co-collaborator Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu in STX’s film Hustlers.

Writer-director Lorene Scafaria’s film, inspired by a 2016 New York Magazine article, follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.

The film will mark Cardi B’s feature film debut. The Grammywinner has been open about working as a stripper before becoming a singer.

In addition to Cardi B, J.Loand Wu, the film will also star Lili ReinhartKeke PalmerJulia Stiles and Oscar-winner Mercedes Ruehl.

Shooting will this week in New York City. 

STXfilms is producing alongside Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina, as well as Adam McKayWill Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum for Gloria Sanchez Productions.
