The 53-year-old Argentine musician and the 47-year-old Spanish singer-songwriter have released their collaborative live performance of the Gustavo Cerati song “Crimen” as a single.
The moving tribute to the late Argentine great by the two classic rock en Español stars is from an upcoming collaborative album that Bunbury and Calamaro recorded while touring through Mexico.
The album Hijos del Pueblo, scheduled for release on April 14, will also include versions of songs by Calamaro’s former group Los Rodríguez and Bunbury’s alma mater Heroes del Silencio, as well as songs from their solo careers, and classics by Mexican legend Jose Alfredo Jiménez and others.
