Quarantine orders won’t stop Becky G from entertaining the world…
Sony Music Latin-Iberia has announced “Made In: Casa #DesdeCasaConMusica,” its initiative to keep fans informed and entertained amid the global health crisis, with the 23-year-old Mexican American singer/rapper part of the lineup.
The virtual music festival, which aims to unite music lovers at home while reinforcing and supporting messages of social distancing and prevention to help fight COVID-19, will count with the participation of over 50 award-winning Sony Music Latin-Iberia artists.
In addition to Becky G, the lineup includes Camilo, Jose Luis Rodriguez “El Puma,” Franco de Vita, Diego Torres, Gerardo Ortiz, Lali, and many more.
From their homes, the artists and other personalities will reaffirm the importance of staying at home while entertaining their fans with live music, cooking recipes, exercise tips and music lessons.
“As we’re all staying at home right now, our artists decided to come together and spread some hope and joy to fans around the world,” Sony Music Latin’s President, Alex Gallardo said in a statement. “They’re excited to both remind everyone how important it is to stay home but to also reward them for doing so with some incredible content. We are excited about the possibility to make a positive impact together at home.”
“Facebookand music share something special in common–we help people come together and build community,” Tamara Hrivnak, VP of Music Business Development & Partnerships for Facebook, added. “Never has that been more important than in these times. We’re delighted to support Sony Latin’s Made in: Casa event so fans in Latin America and around the world can enjoy connecting with their favorite artists on Facebook and Instagram.”
On the official website, fans will have the option to donate to the World Health Organization (WHO) and Pan American Health Organization(PAHO).
Back in April, Sony Corp announced a $100 million Global Relief Fund to bring relief to medical workers, children, educators, creators, artists, and other partners in the entertainment community who have been impacted by COVID-19.
The “Made In: Casa” livestream event will take place at noon EST / 9:00 am PST on Sunday, May 10 via Sony Music Latin-Iberia’s @madeinlatino channels through Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and www.desdecasaconmusica.com.
