Antonio Barullo is ready to distrutar la vida as a solo artist…
The Spanish singer of gypsy origins, a Latin Grammy-winner, has released his first solo single.
Entitled “Disfruta la Vida,” the track features Flex and J Alvarez.
It’s the first single from Barullo’s debut album as a solo artist, simply titled Barullo.
The track was recorded in Miami, with all three artists actually sharing studio time at one point in the process.
“My roots are in flamenco,” says Barullo. But living in Miami for several years, opened up the doors to other kinds of music.
“It’s a mix of Spanish music, pop, urban and reggaeton,” he says. “This song, like its title, is all about enjoying life.”
Barullo is releasing his album independently.
He was previously part of duo called Barullo, with whom he released an early album several years back. He has also worked as a songwriter and producer. And in 2007, he was as a featured artist on salsero Oscar D’Leon’s single “La Canto.”
