It’s a countrified honerun for J.P. Arencibia…
The 28-year-old Cuban American professional Major League Baseball player, a catcher for the Texas Rangers, wed the Band Perry‘s lead singer Kimberly Perry on Thursday, according to Us Weekly.
Arencibia and Perry, 30, tied the knot at the First Presbyterian Church in the country singer’s hometown of Greenville, Tennessee. They were feted by close family and friends—including country singer Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher.
Arencibia proposed in October at Perry’s parents’ house in Greenville. Arencibia popped the question under a large oak tree in the backyard.
“He’s just a really gentle soul. He balances me for sure,” Perry said after the engagement.
The pair met backstage at a meet-and-greet for the band in 2012.
