Moises Arias is ready to karate chop his way back onto television…
Amazon has officially ordered to series Jean-Claude Van Johnson, starring the 22-year-old Colombian American actor and former Hannah Montana star and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Van Damme plays “Jean-Claude Van Johnson,” a global martial arts and film sensation. Operating under the simple alias of “Johnson,” he’s the most dangerous undercover private contractor in the world. Lucky for the world’s bad guys, he’s been retired for years. Unlucky for them, a chance encounter with a lost love is about to bring him back to the game. And this time, he could be deadlier than ever.
In addition to Van Damme and Arias, the show also stars Kat Foster and Phylicia Rashad.
The pilot was directed by Peter Atencio, and written and created by Dave Callaham.
Amazon greenlit the series after screening the pilot for Amazon Prime subscribers in August.
Jean-Claude Van Johnson will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in 2017 in the U.S., UK, Germany, Austria and Japan.
