Alejandro Fernandez is celebrating his legendary dad this Father’s Day in a big way…
The 49-year-old Mexican singer has released the official music video for his single “Menti,” featuring his father and iconic Mexican artist Vicente Fernandez.
Joining forces to flaunt their powerhouse vocals and show the world how music runs in their blood, “Menti” forms part of Fernandez’s recent studio album Hecho en México, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’sTop Latin Albums chart dated February 29, 2020.
With his new coronation, Fernández became the first act to achieve No. 1s on Top Latin Albums in the 1990s, ‘00s, ‘10s, and ‘20s.
The music video shows cartoon versions of Alejandro and Vicente wearing their symbolic charro suits as they try to win back the women in their life.
In a very old-fashioned manner, Alejandro is seen serenading his lady in hopes she comes out of her room to forgive him. Chente, on the other hand, can be found at a western bar thinking about his love interest. Towards the end of the video, inspired by the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, the two reunite with their women and promise to learn from their mistakes.
Additionally, Billboard has shared a set of never-before-seen photos of the two artists, further spotlighting their undeniable father and son bond that so many love and admire.
