Sónar, the Barcelona electronic music and digital arts festival, has announced its first round of performers, with the 42-year-old Chilean record producer forming part of the lineup.
ANOHNI, an alias for Antony Hegarty from Antony and the Johnsons, will present the European premiere of HOPLESSNESS, the project with producers Oneohtrix Point Never and Hudson Mohawke. John Luther Adams’ climate change opera Become Oceanwill also have its European premiere during the festival, which is set to take place next year on June 16,17 and 18.
New Order, John Grant and Fatboy Slim will also perform at the 23rd Sónar in Barcelona.
Additionally, organizers announced a special “SónarGift” pack for holiday giving. It features general pass for all festival days “plus a number of exclusive surprises,” priced at about $191 USD.
