J Balvin is trollin’ the world…
The 34-year-old Colombian reggaeton singer is set to appear on the big screen as a troll next year, but you can already get a first glimpse at his character.
In June, J Balvin was announced as one of the cast members of the upcoming movie sequel, Trolls World Tour, joining a star-studded lineup of actors and artists including Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, Anthony Ramos, Mary J. Blige, Rachel Bloom, Ozzy Osbourne, and Anderson .Paak, to name a few.
J Balvin will portray Tresillo, a troll that brings hisreggaetonswag to the animated musical adventure. The official second trailer of the family-friendly production shows a scene of three trolls dancing to J Balvin’s “Mi Gente,” as a set of animated flowers fangirl over the troll’s moves.
In Trolls World Tour, Poppy (Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake) discover that they are but one of six different Troll tribes scattered over six different lands and devoted to six different kinds of music.
Directed by Walt Dohrn, Trolls World Tour is the sequel to the 2016 Trollsmovie set for release on April 17, 2020, by Universal Pictures and featuring original music by Timberlake, Clarkson, SZA, and others.
