Cardi B has another No. 1 hit…
The 26-year-old half-Dominican American rap sensation has earned her third No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart as “Money” rises 3-1 on the ranking dated February 2.
The track lifts 9 percent in audience to 29.7 million in the week ending January 27, according to Nielsen Music.
Cardi B previously led the chart with her first two entries: debut smash “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves),” a 10-week champ in 2017 and through a featured turn G-Eazy’s “No Limit,” also guest starring A$AP Rocky, which reigned for six weeks in 2017-18. Between “Limit” and “Money,” Cardi B added six more top 10s to her resume.
“Money” concurrently tops the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart with an identical 3-1 jump, making it the most played track on monitored R&B/hip-hop-centric stations. The single climbs 11 percent in plays in the week ending January 27, per Nielsen Music.
Cardi secures her fifth No. 1 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop, after “Bodak Yellow” (nine weeks, 2017), “Limit” (five weeks, 2017-18), “I Like It,” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin(one week, 2018) and “Ring,” featuring Kehlani (one week, 2018).
In addition to a new No. 1 on both charts, Cardi B also reaches the top 10 of both R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop through her guest turn on Pardison Fontaine’s “Backin’ It Up.”
The collaboration climbs 11-9 on the former ranking thanks to a 10 percent jump to 16.8 million in audience in the week. “Backin,” Pardison Fontaine’s maiden chart entry, thus becomes his first top 10 on the survey, while Cardi B secures her 10th tune to visit the tier.
On Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop, “Backin’ It Up” ascends 11-6 on the latter tally after it picks up a 12 percent boost in plays in the tracking period.
