The 28-year-old Puerto Rican actor/singer has been cast opposite Rachel Brosnahanin Amblin Partners’ upcoming comedic sci-fi film Distant.
Distanttells the story of an asteroid miner who, after crash-landing on an alien planet, must contend with the challenges of his new surroundings, while making his way across the harsh terrain to the only other survivor – a woman who is trapped in her escape pod.

Ramos, who originated the dual roles of John Laurensand Philip Hamilton in the Tony Award-winning BroadwaymusicalHamilton, has previously starred in Patti Cake$, Monsters and Menand A Star is Born.
