Selena Gomez isn’t afraid to shed her good girl image… And now you can see the results of the former Disney Channel star’s bad-girl transformation in the latest clip from her upcoming movie.
In the simple clip for Spring Breakers, the 20-year-old half-Mexican American actress and singer—who was recently nominated for her first-ever MTV VMA Award—puts her newfound edginess on display as she talks about the misery of growing up in her one-gas-station town.
Directed by Harmony Korine, the film centers on four restaurant-robbing college girls who turn to crime to pay for their spring break trip.
Gomez’s co-stars in the film include Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Korine and Ashley Benson, as well as James Franco.
Spring Breakers will premiere at the Venice Film Festival next month.
