Maluma has registered his first Top 10 single on one of Billboard’s most important Latin charts…
The 21-year-old Colombian urban artist’s latest single “Borro Cassette” rises from 11-8 in its tenth charting week to earn him his first Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.
Maluma takes Airplay Gainer honors with a 30 percent climb in audience, logging 9.8 million impressions during the tracking week ending Sept. 27, according to Nielsen Music. The on-air bump drives the track 8-4 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, reaching a new peak.
Digital sales also helped in the Hot Latin Songs spike, increasing four percent to 1,000 downloads.
The singer will perform at the inaugural Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) on October 8, which will be broadcast live on Telemundo from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
“Borro Cassette” is the first single from Maluma’s upcoming album, Pretty Boy Dirty Boy, due October 30.
